This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do when using northwest.net and the services provided by Silent Northwest LLC ("Northwest.net"). Using our services constitutes acceptance of this policy.
1. Permitted Use
You may use Northwest.net services to:
- Audit your own website or a website for which you have explicit permission from the owner
- Purchase and receive web design and audit services for legitimate business purposes
- Access our learning resources and guides for informational purposes
- Contact us with legitimate business inquiries
2. Prohibited Use
You may not use Northwest.net services to:
- Audit websites you do not own or lack explicit written permission to audit
- Submit automated, bulk, or scripted audit requests (more than 5 audits per day per account/IP)
- Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, reCAPTCHA, or other abuse prevention measures
- Use our services to gather competitive intelligence on websites without their owners' consent
- Submit false contact information or impersonate another person or business
- Engage in any activity that interferes with the availability of our services to other users
- Use our services for any illegal purpose under Washington State or federal law
- Resell or redistribute audit reports without written permission
3. Audit Tool Limits
The free audit tool is provided for single-use business evaluation. Submitting the same URL multiple times within 24 hours, using disposable email addresses to circumvent limits, or systematically auditing lists of URLs is prohibited and will result in your IP or email being blocked.
4. Email Communications
By submitting your email to receive an audit report, you consent to receiving that report and up to two follow-up emails from Northwest.net. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Marking our emails as spam instead of unsubscribing may result in your audit access being suspended.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Immediate suspension of access to audit services
- IP and/or email address blocking
- Refusal of future service
- Legal action where applicable
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is misusing our services or violating this policy, please contact us at Contact Us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. The current version is always available at northwest.net/legal/aup.
